Verandah/Balcony size is about 10 feet X 10 feet with a lounge chair, two deck chairs, a very small table and ottoman/footstool. The Deck 4 Aft VA's are all about 3 ft longer inside than the side VA's, and the verandah/balconies are about 4 ft deeper than the side VA's. The verandah is about 9.5 ft wide by 11 ft deep. It has not only the standard two chairs, ottoman, and small table, but also a lounger. Sorry, I didn't get the small (1 ft) round table in the pic. The only trash we had fall on the balcony was a paper glass cap and one cigarette butt. Once my wife had her legs soaked with water from a steward washing the plexiglas railing of the cabin above.

At times the vibration in this cabin from the propellers was quite bad, and at other times non-existent. The vibration was definitely related to speed, but there was more involved than just that - possibly the wave heights. Sometimes it was glassy smooth and quiet at better than 20 knots, and other times the vibration was bad around 18 to 20 knots. Overall, there was more smooth time than bad time.

Arrived at rooms about 2:30. Before the market crash, I, as usual, was feeling flush, so I got a suite for us and an outside balcony for the kids. The suite was at least twice the size of a normal stateroom, came with a private lounge for suite holders, a Captain's welcoming cocktail party, free laundry service, and other meaningless BS. But I loved the size of the room.

Noordam SC 6177 is a spacious cabin with one of the biggest (non penthouse) balcony's I've seen. We stayed there for 21 days for the Christmas 2009 holidays. If you're thinking about this suite, don't hesitate; very acceptable cruising accommodations.

I've listed some of my pro/cons below for a quick overview of my experience in this suite:

***Pros: Cabin...

~ Large balcony (here's the link to my "Balcony Tour" YouTube post: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38e4wG2_S0o)
~ Quiet (zero noise except for the occasional moving of balcony furniture from the suite above)
~ Big bathroom; two sinks, Jacuzzi tub with removable shower head and separate shower with removable shower head
~ Great room service, you can order any restaurant item to your cabin (full daily menu's delivered to your cabin)
~ Laundry and dry cleaning included
~ Binoculars, umbrellas, bath robes, small flat screen TV, safe, a couple of locking draws

***Cons: Cabin...

~ Being all the way aft, it can get some significant movement in the open ocean (I happen to like rough seas but thought I'd mention it in case you do not share my affinity)
~ I couldn't help but think that the cabin would have been dramatically improved with another window (at the head of the bed where the mirrors are) to take advantage of the significant starboard field of view (this is more of a nice to have and there may be structural reasons for not doing this)
