Crust:

3      C. flour
1/2    C. sugar
1      C. softened butter
1/2    t. salt

Filling:

4         eggs
1-1/2  C. dark corn syrup (Karo’s)
1-1/2  C. sugar
3      T. melted butter
1-1/2  t. vanilla extract
2-1/2  C. chopped pecans

Blend flour, sugar, butter, salt til mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Press firmly & evenly into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 baking pan. Bake for 20 min.  350 degrees.

Meanwhile, combine first five filling ingredients. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly over hot crust. Bake 25 min.  360 degrees.

Cool and slice -  4 dozen.
